About the Company

This is a long-established, mission-led software company providing essential tools to organisations across the arts, culture, and live events sectors. With an expanding international customer base and an exciting new development phase underway, the team is now rebuilding their platform to better serve the next generation of users. With a renewed focus on innovation, user experience, and product-led growth, they’re expanding their team further and looking for a driven and empathetic Product Owner to lead the way.

The Role

As Product Owner, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining the future of a product that’s evolving from a legacy system into a smarter, faster, and more user-focused platform. Working closely with 2 development teams and collaborating across the business, you’ll translate vision and strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap. This is a hands-on, strategic role that requires balancing business needs, user feedback, and technical constraints to deliver real value.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Translate product strategy into actionable tasks and clear development goals
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Break down epics into user stories and refine features for development
  • Ensure backlog items are well-defined and ready for sprint planning
  • Work closely with developers (UK and overseas) to deliver features on time
  • Attend key Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews)
  • Present new features and updates to internal stakeholders
  • Create Help Centre articles and user-facing release notes
  • Engage with the user community to gather feedback and understand pain points
  • Monitor discussions, attend online community events, and identify opportunities for improvement

What We’re Looking For

You’re a proactive and organised product thinker who balances commercial understanding with empathy for users. You're excited about solving real-world challenges, collaborating with others, and creating clarity out of complexity. If you have experience in agile environments and a desire to support organisations doing meaningful work, this could be the perfect role for you.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • PSPO qualification or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager
  • Proven understanding of Scrum and Agile project delivery
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience using JIRA or other project management software
  • Ability to interpret and act on stakeholder needs quickly and accurately

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms
  • Understanding of the arts, cultural venues, or events sector
  • Experience writing help centre content or user documentation

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Be part of a major product transformation project
  • Help shape a tool that directly supports the creative and cultural industries
  • Work in a collaborative and values-driven environment
  • Flexible working with occasional UK or international travel
  • A chance to truly own your role and influence product direction
