Description
Content Strategy Manager
Location: Exeter/Hybrid
Salary: £45k
About the Client
Our client is a forward-thinking software business that's growing rapidly and expanding their product suite across new markets. They're committed to improving how their customers interact with technology—making things simpler, smarter, and more intuitive. Internally, it's a culture that values collaboration, curiosity, and putting the end-user at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a SaaS business at a pivotal point of growth and shape the way knowledge is shared and accessed across the organisation. As the first dedicated Content Strategy Manager, you’ll be responsible for building a scalable, strategic function that empowers both internal teams and customers to be more self-sufficient and informed.
From developing a content strategy to collaborating with product, support and compliance teams, you'll work across the business to turn expertise into accessible resources that evolve with the product.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and owning the knowledge strategy—ensuring it aligns with business and customer goals.
- Building a centralised knowledge hub that’s easy to use, continuously updated, and insights-driven.
- Partnering with internal experts and the technical author to co-create accessible, engaging content.
- Supporting product releases and change initiatives by ensuring knowledge resources are clear and timely.
- Using analytics to track impact—reducing support tickets and improving customer satisfaction.
- Promoting knowledge sharing across departments and enabling teams to work smarter and more consistently.
- Engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences when it comes to learning and support.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who loves helping others find clarity—someone who thrives in a role where empathy, communication, and systems thinking all come together. You'll be comfortable switching between big-picture strategy and hands-on content delivery, and you’ll have a real curiosity for how people engage with digital products and knowledge.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a Content Manager or training-focused role within a tech or SaaS business.
- Strong content planning and process development skills, with a focus on user experience.
- Proven track record of using data and feedback to shape effective knowledge resources.
- Confident communicator—comfortable presenting, training, and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.
- Passion for customer experience and enabling self-service through thoughtful content.
Desirable Skills
- Experience leading or mentoring others.
- Familiarity with change management and digital adoption strategies.
- An interest in using AI to enhance content delivery and discovery.
- Knowledge of Communities of Practice or collaborative learning environments.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- You’ll get to shape something new and strategic with full leadership support.
- Join a tech-driven business where your ideas will be heard and acted on.
- Flexible, remote-first setup with a people-first culture.
- An opportunity to make a tangible impact on how people access and use information.
