Business Development Manager

Remote (UK-based)

£50,000 – £60,000 base + Uncapped Commission

About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially sharp and consultative Business Development Manager to join a high-growth, founder-led organisation working with fast-growth software businesses.

This is a strategic, founder-facing role where you’ll identify high-potential companies, lead thoughtful outreach, and hold credible conversations with senior decision-makers about their growth and goals. You’ll combine research-led business development with genuine curiosity and commercial understanding- helping build long-term, trust-based relationships.

You’ll be joining a start-up environment with ambitious founders who are fully invested in setting you up for success. There’s a clear, achievable commission structure, the opportunity to travel, and strong potential for progression as the business scales.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Researching sectors and identifying standout B2B software and tech companies.
  • Leading high-quality outreach to founders and C-level executives via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
  • Conducting intelligent, consultative conversations about business strategy, growth, and market positioning.
  • Managing your outreach pipeline with precision, using CRM and outreach tools effectively.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to refine messaging and prioritise opportunities.
  • Attending client meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships and brand presence.
  • Feeding insights back into the business to inform future commercial strategy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in SaaS or finance industry business development.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial drivers.
  • Proven track record in outbound sales, lead generation, or consultative business development.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage founders, CEOs, and investors.
  • Curious, analytical, and naturally skilled at building rapport.
  • Highly organised with disciplined follow-up and CRM management.
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Why This Role?

  • Remote-first (UK-based) with the flexibility to travel for meetings and events.
  • High-trust, collaborative culture with founders committed to your success.
  • Direct exposure to senior leaders and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong progression opportunities as the business continues to grow.

If you’re commercially minded, curious about how great businesses grow, and thrive on building meaningful connections with founders and senior leaders- we’d love to hear from you.
